RESIDENTIAL HOUSE
This project empathizes on creating an inhabitable space by exploring a series of formal exercises and engaging their spacial implications. After obtaining a form through a sequence of deformations, I introduced circulation and residential program that emphasizes the idea of bending brings spaces closer and tighter to each other.
A deformation sequence in 2D is extruded into a volume. The series of formal actions are then re-applied in another orientation, beginning with the volume at the last step of the extruded sequence.
This form is refined to inhabit people.

The idea of bending behind the model brings the kitchen and the living room more open to each other. The first and second floor also share similar bending geometries which tight these two spaces together. But at the same time, the bending separates the dinning room from the kitchen. Then apertures are introduced in order to solve this problem. The apertures happening in the negative bending space visually linked those two physically separated spaces. And the apertures happening on the left facades integrate the model and bring two large spaces to each other.
